“Anamnesis” is a tranquil instrumental made of synthesizers and xylophones that plays on top of a collage of various footage from King Gizzard’s 2019 European tour. The word anamnesis describes the process of remembering events from a previous life.

The piece seems to be a highlight of Chunky Shrapnel for the band. Stu said that he was hyped about the piece when they recorded it during the 2025 Reddit AMA while Ambrose said that “Anamnesis” was his favorite part of the movie during a 2020 Reddit AMA. The title would be referenced on “Blue Morpho” and “Magenta Mountain” in the years after Chunky Shrapnel’s release.
