“Short Change” is a chaotic and fittingly short song that wraps up Changes released October 28th, 2022. The song is mostly instrumental and features a cavalcade of distorted guitars, arpeggiated synthesizers, heavy drum rhythms filtered through lo-fi production and even reversed tracks. There’s only a handful of lyrics here, all of which are lifted from the beginning of “Change.” In fact, the track is built around Cook’s verse of that song, with elements of Stu’s verses and influence taken from its closing section. It was performed by Stu (electric guitar/bass/vocals/Mellotron/Wurlitzer/synthesizer), Cavs (drums) and Ambrose (percussion).
