I've been going to shows for 25+ years now. I've seen some crazy shit over the years and there are some absolutely amazing shows on my personal all time top 10 list that I can't even believe I was fortunate enough to see.

All that to say, Night 2's Gizz show was so mindblowingly good that it instantly earned a place on that list for me! It was quite literally perfection in live music form, and I wouldn't have changed a single thing about any of it! Although night 1's show was pretty solid, it's clear that the wind was taken out of the band's sails after that terrible medical emergency and tragedy happened. (RIP Matt, love and condolences to his family and friends.) I had a good time but overall, it wasn't hitting me like several other Gizz shows I've been to.

But starting From the get go on Night 2, the band's energy was at 11/10 levels. It seemed like they really wanted to bounce back from Night 1 and give all of us a night to remember. It just felt like it kept getting better and better throughout the entire show! There were no lulls, no low points, and I was entranced for the entire thing.

My personal highlights: Flamethrower, Superbug (incredible, and that 14 year old kid nailed it), Swan Song (possibly the best Nathan song performance ever???), the entire MOTU suite, an incredible version of Ice V with that killer Ants & Bats jam, Raw Feel, Boogieman Sam (another fucking killer jam here!), and one of the best versions of Rattlesnake they've ever done.

I don't feel like my silly little review is properly conveying it, but this was absolutely one of the band's greatest shows ever, and I firmly believe that several of the songs played had their best live versions birthed on that night. I thought the Gorge show couldn't be topped for me, but the more I think about it, the more I think this one somehow did. Unreal.
